Parcel delivery the way it should be

You experience this all too often - coming home to see a failed delivery notice on your door or your precious package left sitting in plain sight at your doorstep. Online shopping is supposed to be cost effective and time saving but parcel delivery makes it anything but that.

BufferBox makes rage-inspiring missed deliveries a thing of the past. Ship your goodies to our network of self-serve parcel pick-up stations and enter the PIN code you are emailed at the pick-up station at your convenience. A door will then magically pop open with your package.

BufferBox is now serving the Greater Toronto Area! You can now pick-up your online orders in convenient locations such as Go Stations, Sobeys and 7 Eleven.

A Short Story

BufferBox was founded in 2011 by University of Waterloo, Mechatronics Engineering grads who absolutely hate missing deliveries. Always looking for better deals and variety, we'd always buy frivolous things like textbooks and robot parts online. But, we'd never be home because we were too busy going to class. There had to be a better way.

We wanted something that we could access anytime and something that would save us time. And that's exactly what we built. What started as a simple engineering project to build an electronic mailbox has evolved into a big idea and a big mission (it was true engineers dream - the prototype had a solar panel strapped to it!).

We launched a very successful pilot in our own backyard at the University of Waterloo and soon after began rolling out a network of pick-up stations across the Greater Toronto Area. Very soon, we hope to be in a city near you!
