🏷️ Discussion TypeQuestion 💬 Feature/Topic AreaVerification Help & Guidance Hi everyone,I applied for the Github Student Developer Pack, but my application has been pending for over 21 days. My school is not listed in the Github database, so i submitted manual verification documents, I also had a previous rejection and reapplied with improved documents. I understant that review can take longer, but i would like to ask:
I would appreciate any guidance or advice. Thank you |

Hi, Yes, this waiting time is still normal, especially for manual verification and reapplications. There’s nothing you need to do right now—just wait for the review to complete. Your application is likely still in the queue, not stuck. If it goes beyond 4 weeks, you can contact GitHub Support for an update. |

21+ days with a reapplication after rejection is not unusual. Manual verification was always slower than the automated path, and a prior rejection + reapplication resets your place in the review queue, which adds time. The review team will email you at the address on your GitHub account when there's an update or if they need anything. Worth checking your spam folder too, GitHub's education emails land there sometimes. If it hits 30 days with no communication at all, contact GitHub Support directly at support.github.com and mention you're waiting on a manual Education verification. Don't reapply again in the meantime. That would just restart the clock. |
