    Did you know sunscreen can damage coral reefs? Cheaper products use active ingredients that can be harmful to reefs. Zinc Oxide can do the same job, but is expensive. So Sheffield has helped develop a method to produce Zinc Oxide which is far cheaper and less energy intensive.

    Researchers from have developed a new, more sustainable way to make zinc oxide, which requires 95% less energy. The new method will allow manufactures to make a reef-safe sunscreen that is also more affordable ☀️🧴 Find out more:
